나는 왜 한국 국적을 못 가지죠? 나도 한국 국적을 갖고 싶어요.
중국 출신 중도입국 탈북민 자녀인 열여덟 살 택성이는 한국에 온 지 2년이 지났는데도 아직 한국 국적이 없습니다. 다른 중도입국 탈북민 자녀들은 다 한국 국적을 얻었는데 말입니다. 택성이는 중국에서 북한 출신 엄마와 중국인 아빠 사이에서 태어났습니다. 그런데 두 살 때 엄마가 북한으로 끌려가서 아직까지 소식이 없습니다. 다행히 북한 출신 새 엄마가 택성이를 중국에서부터 15년 넘게 지금까지 키워주었습니다. 그러나 친엄마가 아니기 때문에 새 엄마가 한국 국적을 얻었는데도 택성이는 한국 국적을 못 얻었습니다. 그로 인한 불이익은 한두 가지가 아닙니다. 택성이는 최근에 왼쪽 윗니 하나가 충치여서 뽑아내고 임플란트 시술을 기다리고 있습니다. 그 시술비가 만만치 않습니다. 게다가 최근에 부모님이 이혼하여 새 엄마가 집을 나가버렸습니다. 택성이는 대안학교 기숙사에서 살면서 사실상 혼자 힘으로 살아갑니다. 그림을 잘 그리는 택성이의 꿈은 디자이너입니다. 디자이너가 되려고 하는 택성이의 꿈을 응원해 주세요.
후원금은 임플란트 시술비, 그리고 생활비 지원금으로 쓰입니다
후원금이 들어오면 우선 택성이의 임플란트 시술 비용에 사용합니다. 택성이의 딱한 사정을 치과의사에게 이야기하고 임플란트 시술 비용을 많이 절감하였지만 그래도 150만원이 듭니다. 택성이가 치아 임플란트 시술을 받게 되면 자존감이 향상될 것입니다. 충치를 뽑아낸 곳이 코와 붙어 있어서 빈틈이 살짝살짝 보이는데 임플란트 시술을 마치고 나면 한결 외모에 자신감이 생기고, 꿈을 향한 의지도 강해질 것입니다. 택성이는 올해 4월 제1회 검정고시에서 중학교 졸업 학력 검정고시에 합격하고, 고등학교 1학년이 되었습니다. 후원금은 임플란트 시술비, 그리고 택성이를 위한 생활비 지원금으로 사용합니다. 생활비는 월 40만원씩 1년간 총 480만원을 지원합니다. 열심히 공부하다 보면 배가 출출할 때 먹는 간식비로도 후원금을 사용하고자 합니다. 따라서 이번 모금 운동을 통해 총 700만원을 모금하려고 합니다.
택성이가 자신감을 가지고 디자이너의 꿈을 향해 달려갈 것입니다
택성이는 올해 대안학교에서 그래픽 디자인 동아리에 속하여 그래픽 디자인을 공부하고 있습니다. 7월 22일에는 교내에서 그래픽 디자인 작품 발표회도 했습니다. 10월에는 디지털 아트 전시회도 개최할 것입니다. 택성이는 운동을 좋아하고 음악을 좋아하고 그림을 잘 그립니다. 구기종목은 다 좋아하고 스케이트 보드를 즐겨 타며, 일렉 기타와 드럼을 배웁니다. 그림 그리는 것을 좋아해서 앞으로 디자이너가 되려고 합니다. 택성이가 다니는 탈북청소년 대안학교 남북사랑학교가 작년 9월 26일에 제1회 디지털과학박람회를 개최하였을 때 택성이는 그 박람회에 필요한 그림을 많이 그렸습니다. 종이 기타를 그려서 그것에 전도체 물질과 초소형 컴퓨터인 라즈베리 파이, 스피커를 달아 연주하였습니다. 이러한 창업 동아리 활동은 전국 비즈쿨 페스티벌의 활동수기 부문에서 최우수상을 받는 것으로 이어졌습니다. 다재다능한 택성이가 빠진 치아 때문에 입을 가리지 않고 밝게 웃을 수 있도록, 그리고 꿈을 향해 계속 달려갈 수 있도록 힘과 정성을 모아주세요!

Please help Taekseong get implants and concentrate on his studies.
Why can't I have Korean citizenship? I also want to have Korean citizenship.
Taekseong, an 18-year-old North Korean defector from China, has not yet been a Korean citizen even though it has been two years since he came to Korea. All the other mid-entry North Korean defectors have Korean citizenship. Taekseong was born in China to a mother from North Korea and a Chinese father. However, his mother was taken back to North Korea when he was two years old and has not been heard from since. Fortunately, a stepmother from North Korea raised Taekseong in China for more than 15 years. However, because she is not his biological mother Taekseong did not receive Korean citizenship even when his stepmother obtained hers. The disadvantages of this are twofold. Taekseong recently had a cavity in his upper left tooth, so he had it removed and is waiting for an implant procedure. However, the cost of the procedure is high. In addition, his parents divorced recently, and his stepmother has moved out. Taekseong now lives in a dormitory at an alternative school, practically on his own. Taekseong is a talented artist and dreams of becoming a designer. Please support Taekseong's dream of becoming a designer through this procedure.
Donation uses
The donations will go to help pay for the implant required as well as living expenses.
Donations that come in will first be used to cover the cost of the implant for Taekseong. I spoke with the dentist about Taekseong's difficult situation and saved a great deal of money for implant surgery, but it still costs 1.5 million won. Getting dental implants will improve Taekseongs self-esteem greatly. The place where the tooth was extracted is beneath the nose, so the gaps are visible. After the implant procedure however, he will be able to be more confident in his appearance and be more willing to follow his dreams. Taekseong passed the middle school graduation certification exam at the first chance in April of this year and became a freshman in high school. The donations will be used to cover the cost of the implant procedures, as well as living expenses for Taekseong. Living expenses in Seoul is 400,000 won per month, for a total of 4.8 million won per year. These donations will allow Taekseong to focus on his studies as well as ensure he does not have to worry about food. Therefore we are hoping to raise a total of 7 million won through this fundraising campaign.
Expectation of effectiveness
Taekseong will work towards his dream of becoming a designer with confidence.
This year Taekseong has been studying graphic design as a member of the graphic design club at the alternative school. On July 22nd some of his work was displayed at an exhibit on campus. In October there will be another exhibition of digital art pieces. Taekseong enjoys sports, music, and creating art. He loves baseball, skateboarding and has been learning electric guitar and drums. Due to his passion for drawing he hopes to be a designer in the future. When the North-South Love School, an alternative school for North Korean refugee youth that Taekseong attends, held its 1st Digital Science Fair on September 26th of last year, Taekseong drew many pictures needed for the exposition. He drew a paper guitar and played it with conductive materials, a miniature computer, a Raspberry Pi, and speakers. These start-up club activities led to Taekseong receiving the grand prize in the activity manual category of the National Biz School Festival.
